10 Best Rooftop Bars in Bangkok with Stunning Views

Bangkok’s nightlife is legendary and has a wide variety of experiences that caters to everyone, no matter what you want to enjoy after the sun goes down. One of the best ways to see the city is to visit the countless rooftop bars, some of which are located at the top of some of the best hotels in Bangkok. With breathtaking views and great drinks, these bars are a great way to unwind after a long day. Below, in no particular order, we’ll explore 10 spots we think you should check out to take in Bangkok’s skyline.

The Speakeasy

Located on the 24th & 25th floor of the boutique hotel, Hotel Muse, The Speakeasy offers a unique experience via its 1920s speakeasy design. Though no longer a secret, The Speakeasy can be less crowded than other venues. It’s also a must visit for fans of gin as there’s an extensive gin menu as well as the option to create your own bespoke gin cocktail.

Vanilla Sky and Mojjo

Set on the 35th floor, Vanilla Sky promises a fun night out. With a fancy yet casual environment, as well as live DJs and 360 degree views of Bangkok, you get everything you expect out of a rooftop bar. Vanilla Sky’s sister bar, Mojjo, is right below and also worth checking out. At Mojjo, the theme is Cuban, so expect a lot of rum forward cocktails.

Paradise Lost

Inspired by South Beach Miami design, Paradise Lost offers you a tropical sanctuary amidst the Bangkok chaos. Set on the 25th floor and flush with candy pink decor, you’ll be treated to a contemporary cocktail menu. Visitors can expect a full food menu of international cuisine that ranges from snacks to full entrees.

Octave

Being situated in the trendy Thonglor district, makes Octave one of the more popular places for people to start their night at. This 4 storey lounge and bar includes a full range of food and drinks that is sure to satisfy anyone who goes there. The highest point, on the 49th floor, ensures that you’re high enough to have an unobstructed view of Bangkok.

Vertigo and Moon Bar

One of the first rooftop bars and restaurants in Bangkok, Vertigo and Moon Bar have set the standard for others to follow. The expensive food and drink is made up by the spectacular view you get from being 61 storeys high. Though it’s been around for years, the view and setting is still hard to beat. K-Drama fans should also be keen to know that King the Land was filmed here.

Brewski

For something other than cocktails, look no further than Brewski where craft beer is combined with amazing views of Bangkok. There’s over 100 beers and ciders to select from as well as three different glasses sizes. Expect a pub menu that’s full of Thai beer snacks or a classic burger. This is the place to visit when you’re looking for a brewery inspired casual atmosphere.

ABar

This isn’t just another standard hotel rooftop bar with substandard drinks. At Abar, situated at the Marriott Marquis, expect two bars. One with a focus on dark spirits and one bar with a focus on gin. Expect a drinks menu that goes above and beyond and complements the sophisticated atmosphere. And of course, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the Bangkok skyline.

Tichuca

One of the newer additions to the rooftop bar scene, Tichuca and its jungle theme has taken Bangkok by storm. Stretching over 3 floors, you’ll find greenery, wood furniture, and  tiki-style cocktails. Located in Thonglor, makes Tichuca popular so make sure to get there early.

Bar.Yard

Bar.Yard, set 40 storeys high, is all about tropical cocktails and American barbecue. At this rooftop garden and bar, you’ll feel like you’re at a friend’s summer cookout that so happens to be just among the clouds of Bangkok. With regular live DJs, come here for the views and either a casual cocktail or dinner for the perfect evening.

Ojo and Sky Beach

Ojo, located on the 76th floor of the Mahanakhon Tower, is one of the few restaurants in Bangkok doing creative Mexican cuisine. Though not strictly a bar, we included Ojo here as the food paired with the space and retro decor was an unforgettable experience for us. Make no mistake, while the food is unforgettable, the view really is breathtaking.

Ojo Sky Beach

After your meal, you’ve got access to the Sky Beach Bar which is arguably the highest rooftop bar in the city with 360 degree views of Bangkok. Up there, you’re truly up in the clouds with an impressive view of the city.
